Walking Together toward Brighter Future: Madglove Joins Walk on Sunshine 2025

What if one morning walk could raise awareness, build community, and shine a light on a group that’s often overlooked?

There's something special about watching the sunrise with purpose.

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, our Madglove team will be putting on our walking shoes for the second edition of Walk on Sunshine, an event organized by CP Nederland that brings together people with and without cerebral palsy for a sunrise walk through Amsterdam.

But for us it isn't just another corporate team-building exercise (even though we love them as well).

For us it’s most importantly a chance to stand alongside a community that knows firsthand the challenges our technology aims to address.

About Walk on Sunshine

You might wonder what actually is Walk on Sunshine?

Amazing question.

It is not your regular Saturday morning walk.

It is an opportunity to shine a light on those who are challenged everyday with the reality of living with cerebral palsy.

It is a beautiful opportunity to make both people with cp as well as their close ones, caregivers and families feel seen, heard, understood and supported - all values Madglove hugely stand by.

And what makes this event particularly meaningful is its inclusivity. People who can't physically join in Amsterdam can participate from home, creating a connected celebration ahead of World CP Day. It's the kind of thoughtful approach that makes real change possible.

Walk on Sunshine begins at the Friendship Sports Center in Amsterdam as the city awakens. Participants can choose from 1, 5, 10, or 20-kilometer routes, making the event accessible to everyone, including those using mobility aids.

The morning includes breakfast, music, and the simple joy of watching the sun rise together. Sound tempting enough?

Why is the Madglove team participating?

At Madglove, we've always focused on making hand rehabilitation more accessible and empowering. Our assistive glove was created with people like stroke survivors and those with cerebral palsy in mind. Individuals who often navigate daily challenges that others might not consider.

Because everybody deserves a better quality of life, no matter the obstacles they need to face.

And we are aware that for many people with CP, limited hand mobility can turn simple tasks into complex undertakings. That's where Madglove Assist comes in.

Our glove supports natural, functional hand movement without batteries, electronics, or external force. It's designed to help people accomplish more with their existing abilities while maintaining their sense of independence.

And that is exactly why supporting Walk on Sunshine feels like a natural extension of our work.

It's our way of connecting with the community we serve and showing our commitment beyond just developing technology.

Shared Values

Both CP Nederland and Madglove operate from the belief that disability shouldn't mean isolation. We're both working toward a society where support, innovation, and understanding combine to improve daily life for everyone, regardless of their abilities.

And most importantly this collaboration represents more than a sponsorship or participation in an event. It's about walking alongside people who understand the real-world impact of the solutions we're developing.

It's about listening, learning, and contributing to a community that inspires our work every day.

Moving Forward Together

Whether you're joining us in Amsterdam or supporting from wherever you are, we'd love to have you be a part of this day. Because we truly believe that every person deserves to start their morning with support and move forward with confidence.

You can learn more about Walk on Sunshine through CP Nederland's website, and if you're curious about our work, visit us at madglove.com.

We're looking forward to walking together toward better connections, greater inclusion, and a future that works for everyone.
