As a startup, the road to innovation is often filled with late nights, countless trials, and a relentless drive to create something impactful. Amid the daily push to grow and improve, certain milestones stand out, reminding us why we started and how far we’ve come. Last week, Madglove had the honor of participating in the Dutch Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (DCRM)—an experience that highlighted our progress and reaffirmed our commitment to a more inclusive rehabilitation future.
Supported by our esteemed partner, Loth Fabenim, who attended as a gold sponsor, this year’s DCRM was an inspiring milestone for Madglove. From the energetic networking to the positive feedback received from industry experts, the event was a powerful reminder of the importance of community, innovation, and purpose-driven action in our journey.
A Step Forward for Functional Orthoses
Last year, we took our initial steps into the DCRM space by presenting a poster on our study, sharing the early insights into our rehabilitation glove with the larger rehabilitation community. This year, we took things a step further, moving from observation to active participation. We had the chance to showcase our glove directly to physiotherapists, orthotic experts, and rehabilitation specialists, engaging them in hands-on demonstrations and meaningful conversations about the future of rehabilitation technology.
The response from the rehabilitation community fueled our enthusiasm and reinforced our mission. We witnessed firsthand the growing interest in a glove that supports hand mobility while emphasizing accessibility, ease of use, and the support of its users. Each interaction, every question, and the enthusiasm from attendees confirmed the need for tools that help people live fully, independently, and confidently.
Building a Community with Purpose
At Madglove, we believe that real change comes not only from groundbreaking products but from a community that believes in the same vision.
Every connection we make—from our partners at Loth Fabenim to our community of testers and supporters—creates a ripple effect that strengthens our mission. For us, creating a functional glove goes beyond technical innovation; it’s about creating an ecosystem where every user feels empowered and every individual sees disability as simply another facet of human diversity.
Our functional orthosis is designed with this in mind. By prioritizing the feedback of our users and fostering open collaboration, we continue to refine our product to meet the real-world needs of individuals with hand mobility challenges. Events like DCRM remind us that the road to innovation is paved with these collaborative efforts. Each bit of input we receive from users and partners helps us create an orthosis that is not only functional but also embodies our dedication to inclusivity.
Reflecting on Progress and Looking Ahead
Participating in DCRM this year has been a powerful experience for the entire Madglove team. It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind and overlook the strides we’ve made. Yet, moments like these allow us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the journey and the impact we are making together with our community.
The warm reception we received at the congress, paired with the constructive feedback and new insights, leaves us more motivated than ever to continue this journey.
As we move forward, we remain committed to developing a functional orthosis that empowers people, fosters independence, and reshapes how hand rehabilitation is viewed and practiced. With each milestone we achieve, we grow closer to our vision of a world where functional, accessible orthoses are available to all who need them.
To everyone who has been part of this journey—from our dedicated team to our enthusiastic users and trusted partners—thank you for believing in us and helping us bring this vision to life. We’re excited for what the future holds, and we look forward to sharing more milestones, updates, and insights as we continue on this path.
Stay connected with Madglove for the next chapter in our story. Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time.
Through each interaction, presentation, and partnership, Madglove remains deeply committed to advancing hand rehabilitation in a way that is meaningful, inclusive, and impactful for all. This year’s DCRM wasn’t just an event; it was a reaffirmation of our mission. Thank you for joining us on this journey—there’s so much more to come.
